Hello everyone. My name is data ninja (my pseudo name, of course, can’t be too careful with your real identity on the web these days) and I am a full time freelancer (UI Developer) based in San Jose, CA and part time Code Canyon author.
I have been dabbling in Envato’s Code Canyon marketplace over the last two years and I’m convinced with dedication to writing great scripts that one day I can stop working as a freelancer by generating enough earnings from entirely from sales of my scripts to make a living as a software author.
Let’s see…
I want to use this blog to document my journey from ‘software sword for hire (ninja)’ to ‘successful software author’ maybe to help other developers to do the same. I truly believe ‘software authorship’ represents a more mainstream employment model for software developers like me all over the world – I call it the ‘the Uberization of Software Development’.
Follow me on my journey and check in from time to time by commenting on my posts (I’d especially love to hear from those who are on the same, or, even better, have successfully completed, this journey).
See links below for best way to reach me and track my progress.
Regards,
Ninja
